ALERT: Attention all Dog and Cat Owners in Los Angeles County:  Los Angeles Animal Control is asking owners who attempt to license their dog or cat to provide the show catalog or program to prove the dog/cat is shown.  The catalog/program is kept by Animal Control, and then used by animal control officers to personally contact every dog/cat owner listed in the program to ascertain compliance with MSN laws.

Rather than provide the show catalog, give them your arm band or the confirmation receipt from the show superintendent or secretary.  Do not give them the show catalog/program!

ARIZONA ANIMAL ADVOCATES and VOTING ALLIANCE
Taking Action to protect the rights of Pet Owners from restrictive legislation.

Anti-Animal legislation is driven by Animal Rights (AR) activists whose aim is to sever the human-animal bond by initiating one small law in one city/county/state at a time.

Large lobbyist organizations such as HSUS and PeTA work tirelessly to promote a world without animal products (meat, dairy, eggs, fur, shoes, belts, wool, silk, and many more); a world without pets, as it is their belief that pets are enslaved, that all animals should be free.

Legislation such as anti-hunting campaigns, mandatory spay/neuter and breed specific legislation put the burden on taxpayers and responsible citizens, and do nothing to address the problems of MSN and BSL will have many negative effects upon both owners and breeders of purebred animals in Arizona. Join us in our opposition to inappropriate Animal Rightist legislation.

"Overpopulation."
It's a myth - but one beloved of the AR's

except in some places like the rural south where you do find litters of puppies without homes - many quickly exported to shelters in other areas.

The dogs in shelters and rescues HAD homes.
That's an owner retention problem, caused by a variety of things, and not always the owner's fault. And, obviously, things like MSN, breeder limits etc do nothing to help this problem, they just make breeding good dogs more difficult or impossible.
